blood+ yakou joushi
Blood+ Yakou Joushi (translated as Blood+: City of the Nightwalkers) is a prequel to the Blood+ anime, which was produced by Production IG. It's a one-shot (it has only one volume), and was drawn and written by Hirotaka Kisaragi, a well-known yaoi artist, and published in the BL themed magazine Ciel. Therefore, the manga has a slight shounen-ai (male/male romance) feeling. It focuses on Hagi/Haji in 1993. A young agent, Nishi/Sai (he is both Chinese and Japanese, therefore his name is read in both ways), is investigating cases of people dying because of severe blood loss, against his superiors' orders. One day, he is attacked by a Chiropteran, and Hagi saves him. Nishi takes him to his flat, while he slowly learns the truth behind his brother's death, and that he may be involved in a very complicated situation. There are many people behind Hagi, while is just waiting for his master, Saya, to wake up.
