triangle, trianglewho will you kiss? me, or that girl?Triangler (also known as Triangular) is the first opening theme of the anime series Macross Frontier, the latest encarnation of the popular Macross saga, created by Shoji Kawamori. For more info on the series, please visit this page. It was composed by the gorgeous Kanno Yoko (well known for the music of Cowboy Bebop & Escaflowne, among other series), and sung by Kanno's fetish singer, Sakamoto Maaya. It was written by Gabriela Robin. The song reflects very well the love triangle (always present in any Macross series) between Alto Saotome, Sheryl Nome and Ranka Lee. Lyrics can be found here. There's an alternative version of this song, called Triangler (Fight on Stage), which is sung by Ranka and Sheryl on the last episode, in other words, it's sung by Nakajima Megumi and May'n. The lyrics differ a bit, you can see them here. |
